Researching ...

how an AOS Trustees Meeting
comes together

orchid god - snoozing

April 25-29, 2001.  How better to see if we've touched all the bases than to take in this year's spring meeting?  So, it's off we go to the wilds of Worthington, Ohio ...

roughing it

Our brave explorer hard at work ... taking notes, stalking the elusive and dangerous trustee, bearing up under the rigors and hardships of convention living conditions.

hey bro, whazzup?

Years of tracking experience pay off as Leo captures Lee Cooke.

sunday-go-to-meetin'

Decked out in protective camouflage and brandishing an ersatz bidding paddle, our hero prepares to infiltrate the secret auction of, uhhh, orchid stuff.

orchid god - awake and peckish

Alas, our hero is found out by the natives when his wave to the bartender for another, uhhhh, lemonade is interpreted as a thousand dollar bid for a garish necktie. (But, but, but ... it has a splash-petal Blc painted on it!)

Leo escapes being sacrificed and barbecued when the vengeful orchid god recognizes him as a distant cousin.  (look closely ... it's in the eyes and hairline ... see?)

So, whaddya say we push our luck and research the fall meeting in Corpus Christi?
