FCC's of the Chicago Judging Center These are the highest awards for flower quality granted by the American Orchid Society. Joseph W. Koss Memorial Awards This award was established by vote of the IOS Board of Directors in 1992 to recognize the highest pointed award granted each year by the Chicago Judging Center, whether at a regular monthly judging or at an orchid show judged by the Chicago Judging Center. It commemorates Joe Koss, past president of the IOS, ardent advocate for the creation of the Chicago Judging Center, and its first chairman. These awards are granted annually by the AOS.
